Empowering Women and Cultivating Opportunities - Southern African Development Community Women in Business (SADCWiB)

The SADCWIB is an organisation that is dedicated to promoting economic growth and development for Women Entrepreneurs, which is globally equitable and sustainable.

SADCWIB is more than just an association, it is a movement that aims to empower, uplift, and unite women across the SADC region, by fostering economic empowerment, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities, with the aim to pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive future for women entrepreneurs.

We aim to empower, support and celebrate the achievements of women entrepreneurs and professionals, by enhancing their skills, knowledge, and exposure in a global setting.

Mission Statement

The mission of the association is to cultivate the inherent entrepreneurial potential to generate economic transformation in both their local communities and the world.

Drawing upon the rich cultural diversity and enterprising spirit of the SADC region and beyond, this initiative aims to create a supportive ecosystem where women can thrive and sustain the development and growth of their businesses, locally and internationally.

The SADCWIB initiative is set to make its mark as a groundbreaking and empowering platform for women across the region. Spearheaded by the SADCWiB Secretariat in collaboration with SADCWiB Country Representatives, this movement aims to foster women's economic empowerment and facilitate cross border networking opportunities within the region, and across the globe.

SADC Women in Business welcomes the participation of women entrepreneurs, professionals, and thought leaders from the Southern African Development Community and beyond international borders.

The initiative celebrates the diversity of the SADC region and encourages inclusivity. By bringing together women from different backgrounds and industries, the program aims to create a supportive and inclusive community.

  • Economic Empowerment: by providing access to training, resources, and networks, the initiative seeks to equip women with the tools they need to drive economic growth and prosperity across various industries.
  • Knowledge Exchange: The program emphasises knowledge-sharing and capacity-building, where participants can engage in workshops, seminars, and panel discussions with experts from various fields. This exchange of ideas will promote innovation and collaboration across the region.
  • Networking Opportunities: Through strategic partnerships and networking events, participants get to connect with like-minded professionals, potential investors, and mentors, fostering valuable business and personal relationships.
  • Promotion of Inclusivity and Diversity: We believe that every woman has a unique strength, talent, and voice that deserves to be heard. We aim to amplify these voices, empowering women to break barriers, overcome challenges, and create a more inclusive and equitable world.
